ALABAMA INDIGO + BLACK WALNUT TOTE
Made after many months of planting, growing, foraging and dyeing! Naturally dyed vintage bed-sheets using locally foraged Black Walnuts around the studio in the Cahaba River Watershed and the fresh leaf method of dyeing with the Japanese Indigo grown in our dye garden! The tote has an additional butterfly appliqué using a vintage quilt topper that April removed and dyed with avocado several years ago. The lining is also from a vintage bed-sheet April dyed with onion skins saved for her by the lovely folks at Piggly Wiggly!
Measurements - Bag is 15” tall, 17” wide and a box bottom finished at 3” ; Straps 33” total length
